Founded some 28 years ago, A.F.T. LTD is dedicated to providing efficient food processing equipment from a precision engineering base.
ADVANCED FOOD TECHNOLOGY EQUIPMENT
Our standard range of equipment comprises: Bread Collator/Buttering Machine, designed to semi automatically feed slices of bread in pairs through the buttering section - deposit weight and bread thickness can be adjusted. Sandwich Make-Up Conveyors, complete with automatic belt washing and drying and all in stainless steel construction. Various designs of the conveyor for a wide number of applications are also available. Automatic Sandwich Aligners/Cutters. We can automatically align and cut single, double or triple sandwiches in preparation for packing. We can also cut filled rolls on this machine. For quartering of sandwiches, we can carry out the second cut using ultrasonic technology which enables us to cut cleanly, accurately and without loss of any filling. Roll and Baguette Cutters and Buttering Machines, for a wide range of both soft and crusty products. We can cut them all the way through or leave them hinged, as the customer requires. Automatic Volumetric Depositors, for a wide range of materials, i.e. mayonnaise, mustard, pickles, cream, fruit puree, pizza sauces etc. We can also deposit semi-solids, e.g. coleslaw, egg mayonnaise, tuna mayonnaise, nuts, biscuit crumb etc. Deposit weights from 4 gms to 1.5 kg are achievable in our standard range. We also manufacture a wide range of depositing heads for any depositor onto any product. On Sandwich Lines all of our equipment is designed on the modular principle, so that items can be added later as production demands grow. The buttering machine can be supplied as a stand-alone unit, or it can be coupled with a collator. The benefits of the collator are that it always allows a pair of slices to proceed. If the slices are fed randomly, the first slice to arrive at the collator stops until a slice arrives on the adjacent feed conveyor. Manual loading allows visual inspection of each piece of bread. The conveyor is specially designed for the sandwich industry, and it includes the following features: a) Quick tension relief of the belt for easy cleaning. b) 'U'-shaped gulleys at both sides of the conveyor, to catch any product dropped by the operators (can be used but if it was dropped to the floor it would be wastage.) c) A service duct runs the entire length of the conveyor, and pre-prepared positions can be made for future items, e.g., depositors and meat and/or cheese slicers etc. d) The conveyor is also designed to have a band washing and vacuum drying unit to wash the band every circuit. In addition, we have supplied machinery for the following applications: Pizza Base Loaders, for automatically feeding frozen pizza bases onto topping lines. We can feed standard round pizzas, wedges and most shapes and sizes in any pattern required onto a belt to minimise sauce loss. Vegetable/Fruit Slicers, ideal for slicing both hard and soft where accuracy of slice thickness AND orientation is required. The machines are hand-fed, with the product being sliced horizontally to give perfect 'whole' slices. Harder products like onions can be automatically discharged. Cheese Cubers and Delivery Systems, up to 1.5 tons per hour can be cubed on our equipment, minimum size of the cube is 25 mm. Various delivery systems are available dependent on downstream operations. Cheese shredding can also be offered as an integral part of the system. Cake Cutters using conventional reciprocating blades or ultrasonic cutting blades can be supplied to cut any cake horizontally or vertically for 'portioning'. Ultra-Violet Surface Treatment Tunnel. Complete Sandwich, Pizza, Cake and Gateaux, Dessert and Pudding and Convenience Food Lines are made up from our range of equipment. As well as the above range of equipment, A.F.T. LTD have in-house design and development facilities enabling us to cater for all our customers' needs, from simple modifications, to complete 'floor-up' design and development of any machine. We
have a selection of VHS videos, which show the majority of our equipment
in operation, which we would be more than pleased to show you and, thereafter,
discuss your requirements in detail. |
